Critical Incident Management

Enterprises deal with Critical incidents on a day-to-day basis, whether it’s related to cyber-attacks, natural disasters, or normal day-to-day outages impacting users; these pose a significant risk to organizations today. To fight these challenges, a framework of Critical Incident Management (CIM) is crucial in organizations, guiding them through triage, resolution, and prevention of these disruptive incidents. With the integration of Generative AI into this framework, this can both help drive efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational response to the Critical Incidents.

The Emergence of Generative AI in Critical Incident Management:

The use of Generative AI frameworks in Critical Incident Management can help generate new content and solutions based on existing trends, past history & trends. This spans across three key phases of the CIM:

  1. Triage: Quick and accurate assessment of incidents, being able to understand the incidents and their impact on the organization in real-time.
  2. Resolution: Effective handling and mitigation of the incidents so the impact is minimized in the organization.
  3. Prevention: Identifying possible solutions and implementation of measures to prevent future incidents.
